Argan tree in Morocco semi-desert area

Our beautiful Argan Oil Soap is perfect for this time of year with our skin being battered with the central heating and cold winds leaving our skin dry and often a little irritated, read on to discover a little more about this ‘wonder oil’!

Argan Oil is a plant oil produced from the ‘kernels’ of the Argan tree (Argania Spinosa L.). Native to Morocco Argan trees grown and miraculously survive in semi-desert areas. They live between 150-200 years! Their deep roots and small leaves allow the tree to resist the arid winds and water loss resulting in the nut (kernel) producing a unique and very special oil with many wonderful properties.

Thousands of years ago the Berber tribes of Morocco discovered this miraculous oil extracted from the fruit of their Argan trees and for centuries the tribes used this beautiful ‘all natural’ oil to protect their hair and skin from the harsh semi-desert conditions.

Now today we are lucky enough to be able to use their discovery and experience the many benefits Argan Oil can offer us.

Argan oil is comprised of essential fatty acids and extremely rich in Vitamin E which is required for healthy skin and hair. Vitamin E also has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties making it a great addition to an ‘anti ageing’ skin care routine.

Argan oil may contribute to skin hydration helping to prevent skin becoming dry or irritated. It has also been used to help treat acne.

So nothing to loose and when your friends comment on your fresh glowing skin it’s up to you if you share the secret of your little bar enriched with ‘desert gold’!
